What Makes Krav Maga Different To Other Martial Arts?

The Krav Maga philosophy starts with the belief that the best way to win a fight is not to get into a fight in the first place


 So, we spend a lot of time teaching you to control your emotions, use your mind and de-escalate situations and win through avoidance of conflict.


When conflict is unavoidable, Krav Maga teaches how to use everything at your disposal to neutralize the threat while remaining calm under pressure.


Part of the training is learning that in a fight the victim must be able to turn the tables quickly. The moment you get attacked, you are no longer the victim - you become the attacker.

No Rules - No Ref - No Ring

Krav Maga is a pure self-defence and striking system. There are no competitions or showcases for self-defence scenarios. We train in Krav Maga to help us avoid and survive the worst-case scenarios. If someone is threatening your life, we train on how to avoid that scenario to begin with, and if it is already beyond the point of no return, we are trained to use the most effective strikes and techniques to prevail, while under extreme stress. There are no elaborate choreographies nor absolutes. There are no uniforms and no traditions. We do not train in Krav Maga to start fights or show off. We train to save our own lives and the lives of our loved ones. As quoted by the founder Imi Litchenfeld, we train in Krav Maga “so that one may walk in peace.”

Self Defence

Training For Women.

Krav Pro’s women's only Krav Maga class is a self-defence training program designed specifically for women. In these classes, female students learn the principles and techniques of Krav Maga, a practical and effective martial arts system developed in Israel.


The class is taught by experienced instructors who understand the unique self-defence needs and concerns of women in South Africa. In addition to rape prevention training Students are taught how to defend against common types of attacks, including grabs, chokes, and strikes, as well as how to respond to multiple attackers and weapons.


The class provides a supportive and empowering environment where women can learn and practice self-defence skills without feeling intimidated or uncomfortable. By participating in a women's only Krav Maga class, students can develop confidence, strength, and the ability to protect themselves in any situation.

Self-Defence Training For

Kids And Teens

Teens Krav Maga Training is a self-defence program designed specifically for teenagers and children, teaching them how to protect themselves in real-life situations.


Krav Maga is a martial art that focuses on practical techniques for self-defence, including strikes, blocks, and grappling moves. In this training, teens will learn how to recognize and avoid potential danger, as well as how to respond effectively if they are attacked.


The program emphasizes physical fitness, mental toughness, and self-confidence, empowering kids and teens to feel safer and more in control of their lives.

I have always been interested in martial arts ever since I could walk. I've dabbled in karate, amateur boxing and Chinese kickboxing.


As curiosity would have its way as soon as I turned 18 I started visiting some of South Africa s most dangerous towns and cities. Being directly involved with all kinds of dangerous people I realized that my current training in karate and boxing would not suffice. I then came across IKI Krav Maga and realized that this is what I have been looking for most of my life.
